Portraits
One of the first successful prints I ever made was a portrait. I named him “Egon” after my favorite Ghostbuster. Sadly, I printed him on very thin paper, and only two of the original edition of five have survived into the new century. This was so long ago that I hadn’t really learned to use my tools. I did most of this with a #2 cutter. It took me all night.
You can tell that I was improvising as I did this one, too: There are places where I break the border, among other gaffs.
More recently, I’ve started a series of portraits of personalities from the Civil War era. As yet, I only have three of them complete. You can proofs of the first two here.
