Il Medico della Peste:

 

I cut and pulled this one about two years ago. It’s based on plague doctor uniforms from around the time of the Restoration. These costumes featured a bird-like mask with a really quite outrageous proboscis. This prolonged bill was stuffed with herbs and spices to cover up the smell of necrotic flesh and protect against infection.

Of coures, the Plague was passed through flea bites, not inhalation, so this didn’t accomplish anything other than scaring the crap out of their patients.
